What is a psychic?

Many people think that being psychic is something unusual, evil, or the person with the psychic abilities is somehow possessed by demons or
working with the devil for the betterment of only himself. I’ve heard
them all and believe me these are misconceptions and are far from the truth.

The word ‘psychic’ has Greek origins from the word ‘psyche’ which means the human mind, spirit and the soul! Did you know that everyone has psychic abilities? The phone rings and you know who it is; you know you are going to see or hear from a person and you bump into them at the store; you have a 'gut' feeling that something is going to happen and it does. These are just a few examples how each and everyone one of us throughout our lives have incidents of psychic intuition. Some people like me are born with a higher degree of awareness. It’s no different than someone being born with the gift to be a world renowned classical pianist or mathematician.

A psychic is able to sense things that are not available through our
five senses. Each psychic approaches his or her work differently.
Some psychics use psychometry which entails holding an object belonging to the subject and receiving information through the vibrations. Some can be clairvoyant which means seeing; some use clairaudience which is receiving messages in thought form from another frequency or realm, like channeling. There’s also clairsentience which is psychic sensing.

Does a psychic know everything? Of course not! If we did then can you imagine what could be avoided in life? The plane crashes, fires, accidents, the list goes on. We’re all here on this earth to learn and grow spiritually. Everything that happens in our lives teaches us something. It teaches us about the ups and downs of life. If we knew what was around the corner for us or a loved one then none of us would learn the lessons that we came here for.
